Little Things Matter – SIDEWALKS & PATHWAYS

It’s National Etiquette Week! The goal is to raise social awareness in all areas of American life, and I’ll be sharing quick tips that align with this year’s theme: “Little Things Matter.” I hope you’ll follow along and share these posts that you’ll find throughout the week here, and on FacebookInstagram and Twitter!

On sidewalks and other shared pathways:

Citizenry -  In America, always walk on the right side of a pathway. The side can vary in other countries.

Courtesy -  When traveling in a group and others are approaching in the opposite direction or at a speed faster than yours, make room on the pathway for them to pass by.

Chivalry –  Gentlemen walk on the outer side of a sidewalk, when in the company of a lady.
